We’re excited to announce the official launch of our project, which took place during our kick-off meeting on 28 October 2024 in Šiauliai, Lithuania.

Hosted by our lead partner, Social Innovation Centre, this meeting brought together the full consortium to align visions, define workflows, and lay the foundation for the next two years of collaboration.

Why AI-ADU?

AI-ADU is designed to empower adult education institutions and their teams to respond to rapid digital change by developing practical, inclusive AI competencies. Our mission is to ensure that educators and administrative staff alike can confidently use AI to enhance accessibility, engagement, and innovation in lifelong learning.

Project Highlights

Here’s what we’ll be working on:

AI Competency Framework
We’re developing a clear, actionable framework that outlines the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed by digital transformation specialists in adult education. The framework will serve as a foundation for strategic upskilling and digital leadership.

Blended Learning Programme
Under the title “Transforming Learning and Organisations with AI”, our training programme will combine online modules, interactive webinars, and face-to-face workshops to help adult education professionals apply AI in meaningful, context-driven ways.

Looking Ahead

Throughout the project, we’ll host webinars, offer open-access courses, and facilitate peer learning opportunities to ensure our tools are co-created with and relevant to the needs of those working in the adult education sector.

We’re just getting started — but we’re excited about where we’re going. Follow us as we build tools, share knowledge, and connect professionals across Europe to shape the future of adult education with AI.

Stay tuned for updates, resources, and opportunities to get involved.
