Reflection task: Creating acceptable AI-use guidance for one task

Choose one assignment, activity or assessment task used in your educational context. If you do not have a real task, use this example:

“Learners must write a short reflection on what they learned during a digital skills workshop and explain how they could apply it in their personal or professional life”.

Create simple AI-use guidance for learners using the categories below.

1. AI use allowed

Write 2–3 examples of AI use that would be allowed for this task. For example:

• – using AI to brainstorm possible reflection questions;
• – using AI to improve grammar or clarity;
• – using AI to translate individual words or short phrases.

2. AI use allowed with declaration

Write 2–3 examples of AI use that would be allowed only if the learner declares it. For example:

• – using AI to create an outline;
• – using AI to rewrite a paragraph;
• – using AI to generate an infographic or visual;
• – using AI to summarise notes from the workshop.

3. AI use is not allowed

Write 2–3 examples of AI use that would not be allowed for this task. For example:

• submitting a fully AI-generated reflection;
• using AI to invent personal experiences;
• submitting AI-generated examples that the learner cannot explain.

4. AI declaration

Write a short AI declaration that learners could use. Example:

“I used ChatGPT to brainstorm ideas and Grammarly to improve grammar. I also used Napkin.ai to create an infographic. I wrote and checked the final answer myself”.
